I dropped back into consciousness at one point yesterday (I wasn't actually gone - consciously speaking - even though it feels like it at times, coughthxADHDthxcough) and quite viscerally realized it was August. AUGUST.

This fact hits me upside the head for a couple of reasons,

1. It means there are only 35 days until I begin the final home stretch gathering of practicum hours to finish this MA - and that is incredibly surreal and
2. It's Blaugust 2026! (and I'm already two days, likely three days, behind by the time I hit "post")

It's the community that really does make this month of blogging so delicious. Every day becomes a treasure hunt. New blogrolls to get lost in and thus finding and saving new blogs, so many inspiring, funny, and serious posts, making new connections on the Fedi... happy wiggle.

So what will posts here likely hold? WELL....

— Many will involve creativity, art, urban sketching, watercolor, and line and wash.
— Some will very likely be about bigger themes, as I am a psychotherapy Grad student who loves research and is gearing back up into research mode.
— Also, I love me some gaming (currently re-addicted to Warframe, Rimworld, & Path of Exile 2)
— Probably some (non-spoilery) thoughts around Movies & TV series (rebinging favourites old and new and I am almost always obsessively devouring a British procedural or murder mystery of some kind or another)
— Music, I'm always listening to something (Sleep Token remains in permanent "Now Playing" status, but it's always accompanied by Jazz of some kind (lately I can't get enough of any Jazz/Funk that has a hammond organ). I never tire of 90s hip-hop and lyrically dense MCs with crispy beats (Mos Def, The Roots, etc.).
— languages & etymology (I teach ESL and I've been dancing around re-teaching myself Ancient Greek again; I really really miss translating) — sci-fi in any form (any of it, all of it, it's my fav)

so - TLDR, what I'm trying to say is - you'll kinda find everything here? I'm a passionate generalist if that hasn't become at least a little clear so far.
